 Business Solar Investment Tax Credit
Business Solar Investment Tax Credit - This is a credit for a portion of the cost of equipment purchased by a business taxpayer to allow solar or geothermal alternative energy to be used by the business.  The Energy Act increases the credit percentage to 30% for:
     1.  Qualified fuel cell property;
     2.  Equipment which uses solar energy to:
          a. Generate electricity;
          b.  Heat or cool (or provide hot water for use in) a structure;
The credit percentage for other qualifying expenses remains 10%.  The change is effective for tax years ending after      December 31, 2005.
